A First Look at “Desolate”

We’ve been working on something we’re excited to finally share—a promo video for “Desolate” by Calanthus.

The video takes the song into a dark, hand-drawn world, following a strange little flower through a story of attachment, neglect, and slowly withering away. The imagery reflects the uneasy feeling behind the lyrics: holding on, letting someone back in, and finding yourself alone again. ( And then shamelessly spills into the band's silhouette hero shot)

Musically, “Desolate” brings together heavy guitars, a little Nu-Metal Revival vocal part in the Pre-Chorus and a melodic hook, moving between driving energy and a heavy halftime groove. This preview gives you a taste of what we’ve been building.

Check out the video below, let us know what you think, and share it with someone who might connect with it. Thanks for being here as Calanthus takes shape.
